As holy week ends, its yet another sad news for catholic family in Uganda as the holy Saturday was opened with a shocking news of the death of Archbishop Cyprian Kizito Lwanga, the Archbishop of Kampala.
His Grace Kizito Lwanga was found dead in his room just a day after he was seen leading the way of the cross prayers at Rubaga Cathedral.
On the other hand, the former presidential aspirant, Hon. Robert Kagulanyi has spoken concerning the lost of the catholic hero, Kizito Lwanga.
“It is a dark day for the Catholic Church. It is a dark day for Uganda.
I have learnt with great shock about the sudden death of His Grace Dr. Cyprian Kizito Lwanga, the Archbishop of Kampala Archdiocese. It will be very hard to cope with this unimaginable loss.
He will be remembered for always speaking out against injustice and oppression. Only yesterday as he joined the faithful to celebrate the way of the cross, he raised his voice yet again and condemned the rampant abductions of our people by the state. Archbishop Lwanga joins several other eminent outspoken religious leaders who have recently died under very unclear circumstances.
May the Lord receive his gentle soul in heaven,” Kyagulanyi speaks.
