National Unity Platform’s Presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine this afternoon (Tuesday) came out blasting about the arrest of Selector Davie Ug.
According to Bobi Wine, David was attacked by a group of security operatives wearing army uniform and some in plain clothes at around 2am.
“Last night at around 2am, a group of security operatives wearing army uniform and some in plain clothes raided the home of our comrade Lule David aka 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐞 𝐔𝐠,” Bobi said.
“According to his neighbors and other witnesses, these security operatives who traveled in two drones; fired live bullets in the air before dragging him out of his house,” he added.
David was beaten mercilessly and taken to an unknown place according to the neighbors and the reports of raids on many other homes of NUP supporters are coming in everyday.
Bobi Wine said NUP is aware this is being done by State operatives who are using several security agencies.
He added that NUP’s legal team has been looking for Davie at various police stations but all the results has turned to be negative.
