Uganda has registered one COVID-19 death today. This brings the total COVID-19 deaths to three according to Ministry of Health.
The deseased is a 67 year old male Nigerian origin and a Resident of Kisenyi, Kampala. He had symptoms related to Covid-19 which include: cough, fever, chest pain and difficulty in breathing and sought treatment from a private clinic.
He later went to Kiruddu Referral hospital where his samples was taken unfortunately he passed on.
The samples were analysed at Uganda virus Research institute (UVRI) and latter confirmed SARS-COV 2.
Results from COVID-19 tests done on 30 July 2020 confirmed 7 cases bringing the cumulative total of confirmed Ugandan cases to 1,154.
